Knob Creek in a Rob Roy. Try it!

I was given a bottle of this but have yet to try it. I take it’s enjoyed best straight? I’m more of a beer guy so my liquor knowledge is limited to the basics I learned in high school, college, after I turned 21.

I was a beer guy for a while until I started to put on a beer guy belly. Haha Then I knew I had to make a switch. If you’re gonna drink it straight, cut it with plenty of ice, because it bites. I prefer it with either ginger ale or ginger beer with lime (that drink would be called a Kentucky Mule). Didn’t get into bourbon until maybe a year ago, but trust me, if you can drink this stuff straight, you can drink pretty much anything out there.

Nice choice, this has been one of my go-to Whiskeys. My wife picked up a bottle of Michter’s Cask Strength Rye, and that is now my absolute favorite. Downside is it’s $75 a bottle, so I don’t want to make it my go-to Whiskey.
I usually make an Old-Fashioned, which is one sugar cube, angostura bitters, a cherry or orange peel (or nothing), and one large ice cube.
Careful with ice in Whiskey though, because it has the ability to turn the whiskey a bit bitter as it melts.

Been too long since I’ve had a Knob drink, I’m gonna have to pick up a bottle.
